Ocean Modelling Training - Online Course for Singapore

Online training on numerical ocean modelling. Th training demonstrated practical applications tailored to coastal and shelf environments relevant to the Singapore region.

This training will allow participants to become familiar with different Numerical Ocean Circulation Models and Data Assimilation algorithms.

In this course, limited-area modelling will be introduced as the primary framework for regional and coastal applications.

Two limited-area modelling platforms will be illustrated: SURF and OPENCoastS. A step-by-step tutorial will guide participants through the process of setting up and running simulations.

Two case studies will be performed, focusing on Singapore coastal waters and the South China Sea region.
