1. Introduction to the exercise: the Antsiranana bay in the Madagascar
In this first tutorial we will introduce the main features of the Antsiranana bay in Madagascar northeastern coastal area, then the modelling settings (grid, bathymetry, input fields) and the workflow with all the tasks involved to complete the execution of SURF-SHYFEM package.
2. How to generate the unstructured grid
This video tutorial provides all the relevant information to generate an unstructured grid with the tool embedded in SURF platform. The Antsiranana bay (Madagascar) mesh generation has been performed by means of a practical exercise by command line.
3. Setting and running the coastal modelling
Another practical example on how set and run the experiment of Antsiranana bay (Madagascar) has been here showed, starting from the choice in the namelist to the run execution.
4. Relocatable coastal model for the Antsiranana bay in Madagascar: discussion of results
The main model results (temperature, currents, sea level) have been here discussed focusing on the added value of downscaled unstructured-grid model for Antsiranana bay (Madagascar) in comparison with the parent one.
